Do these run true to size?
Yes — order your usual size. The denim is woven with engineered stretch inside a rigid-look fabric, so it holds its structure without fighting your hips or thighs. If you're between two sizes, size down for a sharper waist or up for more ease through the leg; either works with this cut.
I don't wear heels — will the flare still work?
Yes. The break point is engineered below the knee specifically so the hem reads intentional in flats, sneakers, or boots — not just heels. Heels lengthen the line further, but they're a bonus, not a requirement.
Is this rigid, stiff denim — or does it actually stretch?
Both, on purpose. The fabric is woven to look and hold like rigid denim — no leggings-in-disguise sag — but it has engineered give through the waist and seat so it moves with you instead of restricting you.
Will the wash fade or lighten with washing?
